Facing an endless horizon, time loses all meaning and positive emotions wash over you. How wonderful it is. When I created Vista Corsica, I knew I had something extra to offer you, something to delight your eyes. As a neuro-training practitioner, I can confirm that a beautiful view, especially a panoramic one, provides an immediate slowing down of your nervous system and a boost of serotonin, the famous feel-good hormone. Corsica has this rare power to bring us back to what truly matters. Welcome to the Isle of Beauty.
The trap of everyday life
Every day, most of us unknowingly suffer from a kind of ocular and cognitive burnout. Indeed, your eyes spend hours staring at a computer screen, a smartphone, or in other situations that require constant visual concentration, such as being stuck in traffic. This is what we call narrow vision. For the brain, intensely focusing on a nearby point means analyzing a potential danger or responding to an emergency. You unconsciously find yourself in alert mode and release massive amounts of cortisol and adrenaline, the stress hormones. It's difficult to let go.
The Vista effect
Conversely, when you arrive at Vista Corsica, I can assure you that your gaze will be lost in the vastness, the distant blue of the sea and the rolling hills beyond which you'll imagine the beaches. A magical shift then occurs, and your eyes switch to panoramic vision. By widening your field of vision towards the horizon, your eye muscles instantly relax. This simple mechanical gesture sends an ultra-powerful signal to your reptilian brain: "No immediate danger, lower your guard."
Instant benefits:
Slowing of the heart rate.
Reduced mental workload.
Release of hormones conducive to creativity and mental clarity.
Vista Corsica, where your brain has a reset button.
The neuro-vista ritual
I invite you to try this micro-exercise every morning, at breakfast time, on the Borivoli hill. Leave your phone in your room and gaze at the horizon line for
Take five minutes with the coffee or tea I'll have served you, and make the croissants wait. Sweep your eyes across the sea and the mountains without focusing on any particular point. See the vastness of the landscape deep within your heart. Of course, accompany this contemplation with deep breaths. In this way, you will have set your day on the path of serenity.
Extend the experience in my office
This process of disconnecting through nature is the perfect prelude to what I offer in my neuro-training practice adjacent to Vista Corsica. By first releasing the visual and spatial tension caused by focusing on fixed points in your daily work, thanks to the Vista Corsica environment, your nervous system prepares itself to release emotional and mental blockages should you decide to undertake neuro-training sessions with me.
So, ready to give your brain a break?
